About one month after winning the United Football League championship against the Michigan Panthers, the D.C. Defenders were welcomed home to the District Wharf by fans alongside many of the team’s recognizable home turf traditions — from lemons to the infamous “beer snake.”
A few minutes before the D.C. Defenders arrived, the making of the “beer snake” was underway… and by the end of remarks from team representatives the multiple chains of cups had merged into one.
The team along with the UFL trophy make progress through the Saturday afternoon crowd toward the Wharf’s Floating Stage.
